Karakter Yang Menonjol di Film Thor Ragnarok'

 Film sekuel ke-2 Thor, Ragnarok, sudah mulai tayang di bioskop. Film ini bukan hanya menawarkan kisah pertempuran Thor yang seru, namun juga perubahan karakter Marvel tersebut mendekati sifat asli pemainnya, Chris Hemsworth.

Hal itu diungkapkan oleh sutradara Thor: Ragnarok, Taika Waititi. Waititi mengungkapkan nuansa komedi yang muncul lebih banyak dalam film ini menggambarkan sosok Hemsworth.

“Dia secara harfiah memerankan dirinya sendiri,” kata Waititi. “Coba lihat Chris, dia persis mirip Thor, dan dia jenaka, menawan, tampan, menyenangkan, dan menyukai palu.. dia lah karakter itu,” kata Waititi.

Thor: Ragnarok yang tayang secara internasional pada pekan ini dimulai dengan adegan Thor melawan Surtur. Namun sebelum pertempuran itu, diselipkan adegan humor antara keduanya.

Humor berlanjut saat Thor harus berhadapan dengan kawannya sendiri, Hulk, meski raksasa hijau itu tak mengingat Thor sebagai teman.

Dialog akrab Thor dan Hulk juga muncul dalam film ini. Konon, film Thor: Ragnarok menjadi film pertama yang menggambarkan Hulk dapat berbicara.



“Saya menyukai ide.. Hulk dan Thor (duduk bersama) di kasur berbincang setelah bertengkar. Ya itu tidak akan Anda lihat dalam film seperti ini,” kata Watiti.

“Fakta bahwa saya diizinkan memasukkan hal seperti itu dalam film ini amat luar biasa dan itulah mengapa film ini seperti karya saya yang lain,” kata Watiti.

Taika Watiti merupakan sutradara, penulis, aktor, juga komedian yang berasal dari Selandia Baru. Watiti pernah mendapatkan Piala Oscar atas karya film pendeknya, Two Cars, One Night (2004).


Sebelum Thor: Ragnarok, Watiti sempat menggarap sejumlah film seperti Eagle vs Shark (2007) dan Boy (2010).

Di sisi lain, karakter Thor yang lebih jenaka diakui oleh Hemsworth sebagai keinginannya setelah memainkan peran tersebut sejak 2011.

“Saya sedikit muak dengan karakter Thor yang telah saya ciptakan,” kata Hemsworth, dikutip Reuters.

“Saya pikir saya punya kewajiban untuk mengubahnya, dan memberikan orang sesuatu yang berbeda, sesuatu yang baru,” lanjutnya. (end)
